MAGNIFY Launches in Lagos

On Thursday, 11th December MAGNIFY magazine celebrated the launch of its first issue in Lagos. The anticipated event took place in the unique and uber cool, Stranger Lagos concept store. In attendance were 70 guests, including many leading ladies from the fashion industry such as Lisa Folawiyo, Bridget Awosika, Teni Sagoe (CLAN), Samantha Dimka (Style Vitae) and Ezinne (Beauty in Lagos).

As well as being able to read the MAGNIFY copies placed around the store, guests were treated to a charismatic performance by singer-songwriter, Kaliné. Lagos ladies mingled as they sipped on drinks and nibbled on delectable canapés and cupcakes (Courtesy of Oleander and Hans and René respectively). At the end of the evening, each guest walked away with a copy of MAGNIFY encased in a handy black tote bag.

During the launch event, when asked about her thoughts on the magazine, Brand Communications Consultant Biki John stated, ‘MAGNIFY is a breadth of fresh air in an increasingly over-saturated editorial market. It seeks to breakdown the clichés and stereotypes associated with Christianity by exploring faith via a bevy of creative individuals, who come from different walks of life, that include fashion, beauty, law and more.’

The magazine’s first issue features diverse, influential and inspiring women like iconic designer, Lisa Folawiyo and noted young author Chibundu Onuzo via a series of engaging and though-provoking features and interviews.

Currently, MAGNIFY is sold at Stranger Lagos, Terra Kulture and Grey Velvet. It will soon be available at more outlets and stores and it retails at N2,000.
